I know it's been unreasonably cold and gas leaks are springing up all over the region as the pipes crack everywhere, but you need to get some fresh air!
Bush's largest failure...and this is a failure in the role he is in, is that he is NOT corrupt enough. That's right. He's not wheeling and dealing with those folks who blackmail America everyday as part of their foreign policy.
France, Germany, Russia, China...yes the usual gang of global exploiters. Bush refused to cave in to blackmail and so swam the rest of the race by himself.
It's a pretty simple picture. Sectarian violence in Iraq has been flamed by folks who want the US out of Iraq and the 650,000,000 barrels of oil per day to be sold at wholesale prices to these same exploiters.
Let's call it what it is NOW. The "war" ended a few weeks after it began. After Saddam's regime was deposed and after a few months of analysis by our enemies a new "war" began - a RESOURCE WAR.
Iraq is now a resource war battlefield. All the terror, mayhem is designed to dislodge the US from the nation and collapse the US friendly government and displace it - not with a Shiite fundamentalist government - as the media implies - but with a government that will sell oil cheaply to France, Germany and the socialist paradise of Belgium! NOW it IS "all about the oil" and anyone with a bit of scope can see what's happening and why Bush is NOT leaving Iraq.
Think about it.
It would be SUPER EASY to wrap up the flag, bring the troops home and let the Iraqi government fend for itself. It would make tons of uninformed leftists ecstatic. It would increase his "popularity" by double-digits. But he does not do it? Why?
Again, why?
Because he has been shown the big picture.
Clinton dropped the ball and Chavez came to power in Venezuala. This jeopardized the supply of oil we turned to after the 1st gulf war. So by Clinton dropping the ball, we were in a tough position should these anti-US folks try to mess up the economy. After 9/11 - the President had almost no choice but to take action against the most pro-active US haters, who threatened our nation. Only two years earlier we had started to buy oil from Saddam again (1999 - right after Chavez came to power ) and if this supply were cut off by terrorists or a terrorist supporting Saddam (he was the one leader beside Bin Laden who said Ameirca deserved 9-11) then the US economy would be held hostage.
Bush had no choice but to oust Saddam and secure the Iraqi fields.
As a result, these other nations are a bit smarter than your average leftists, and knew EXACTLY what Bush was DOING. He was castrating CHAVEZ, limiting his blackmailing power and INTERFERING in the CORRUPT SWEETHEART DEAL France, Belgium, Russia and Germany had going with Saddam - FOR over 11 YEARS!
THEY HATE BUSH for ruining their CHEAP (sometimes free!) OIL from Saddam. BILLION dollar corrupt UN facilitated deals were interrupted by Bush and the US invasion.
And here you want Bush and Cheney to resign because they don't wait in line to kiss corrupt, sleazy, socialist pissoirs in foreign countries and beg them for forgiveness for interrupting their gravy train?
Get serious!
Bush and Cheney are called "corrupt" by the very folks who are the MOST corrupt! If folks were informed, not only would the public start demanding action from our European "allies" they would start boycotting their products and push for US intervention in Sudan and other places they are busy turning into human right hellholes.
