So, when the date the .com registration is up, do I contact godaddy and ask for it? I see the problem as them getting someone on the inside to bid me up, as they did to you for marsrover.com.
Or contacting the legal owner and asking him if he wants to renew.

Is anyone using that name (marsrover.com) or is some entrepreneur sitting on it waiting for someone to pay $300 for ownership?
