"Christianity in general, however, is not rejecting this war."

I have to agree with you here, Bowz.

As a matter of fact, Bush placed himself among the righteous as part of his platform for election. And he could smell blood in the water early on and used his declarations of faith and righteousness as the humble platform for launching the war. I remember his second speech after 9/11 where he declared his "Axis of Evil" even before the perpetrators were known.
Three of them. Us against Them. I cringed. I knew what was coming.

And I know Born Again Christians believe in End Times Prophecy. They fear it. They feed into it. And I could see GWBush was going to make this HIS Holy War. And a lot of Christians who followed him over the cliff thought he HAD to be right, because he was a Man of God (you can also draw a parallel here with Osama bin Laden).

And why more of them didn't cry foul when TORTURE was being sanctioned by their holy leader, well here's where I agree with you. They just weren't doing enough.

This bears repeating:
>"There is no overall, overarching ecumenical Christian movement rejecting the Iraqi war as a creation of a Christian President after consulting with a Christian God. Christianity has allowed itself to be used to justify the war, especially the Fundamental brand with is allied with Israel until the End Times."
