Religious books are fiction. Religious beliefs are fantasies and riddled with errors. Grown adults should not believe that such fantasies are the truth because they are illogical, contradictory, and false. Religious beliefs lead a person to make inconsistent and inequitable decisions. Hypocrisy is the only constant amoung religious people, who are unable to make balanced comparisons of events in the world. Children especially should not be taught religion because it will delay their cognitive development. They will be late in realizing that religious books are nothing but primitive myths told by primitive medicine men.
At least the term "Science Fiction" contains the word 'Fiction'. It instills hope and inspires people to learn. Religion just instills psychotic delusion, bigotry, ignorance, and rejection of reality.
