The movie: "The Astronaut Farmer". I've just seen it.

If you are an space enthusiast whose become discouraged
and weary over endless postponements and failures in the
private space sector [you wouldn't be human if you didn't get weary and discouraged]
then this is the movie for you....A movie to reinspire you and refresh your love
for space travel.
I would love to get Tom Brosz, Gary Hudson, Elon Musk and Canada's
own [Project Da Vinci] Brian Finnley to see this movie and comment on it.

Yes!...This movie uses Hollywood physics [RT.L. would grit his teeth].
10,000 Ibs of propellant would barely get a Mercury capsule into the stratosphere.
I think the movie script writer meant 200,000 Ibs...But that would have
required the hero of this movie to spend a million dollars on the propellant
alone.
And building and launching a manrated rocket booster in a "barn" with all that microscopic &
macroscopic dust and chaff floating around stretches credibility; as does
the idea of a successful Atlas-class rocketbooster launch failing to shatter
the windows of a ranch house only 100-200 yards away from the barn;
and leaving both the barn and house intact.

But leaving aside those issues, the movie is worth seeing.

I liked seeing the hero of the movie overcoming the heartless, cruel and moronic
FBI and FAA officials that were trying to stop his dreams.
[wink] Elon Musk, Gary Hudson, Mr. Rutan never had those problems
with the government [heh heh heh], did they?...

So what do you think of this movie, Tom Brosz?....Farfetched?...or plausible?
