Over half the population of Jordan is palestinian, so they were not "ethnically cleansed." The PLO was booted out when the tried to take over Jordan. In hindsight many Israelis believe they should have intervened ON THE PLO'S BEHALF back then and turned Jordan into a palestinian state, thus ending the "stateless palestinian" problem.
