The 80's were full of the coming Nuclear war apocalypse.
How many movies did we have about it?
In college I read up on survival techniques. I knew how to fish and grow some foods, but I didn’t know what native plants I could safely eat. Or how to build a shelter better than a lean-to. So I learned. I wanted to be prepared for the global nuclear war that was supposed to destroy the world.
It was a real fear.
And I also remember there were some who seemed like they couldn't wait for it to happen.
