I know how you feel. I grew up watching how great the future will be. When I got out of college the job market sucked. My first job out of college was waiting tables. Since then, I have gone through a dozen jobs. Gone are my father’s days of working for a company for 30 years then retiring.
But I have adapted. I have put myself in a market where there are jobs. And I know how to get a job if I need one. And I have other area’s I can fall back on.
And I am lucky. I learned about the evils of Debit at a young age. I got 60K in debit (About 60% of that was from putting myself through college) I paid off all my debit years ago and have stayed out of debit. My wife doesn’t have to work. She is a stay at home mom. Sure, we don’t have a 250K home, my wife coupons it, we get our books and DVD’s from the public Library, we don’t have a house full of technology, still use dial-up, has a 6 year-old computer, have very basic cable, and we scrimp elsewhere. But it is worth it to have my wife raise my kids.
