Save your breath, Buck. This isn't about whether the policy is well considered, or even if the technical assessment that suggests it is valid or not. The real issue is the fear that those who have money and power will lose the ability to do with it as they see fit.
That is why this issue keeps on popping up, even though it has no final resolution, can never be fully settled, and we're all sick of arguing about it. It is fear, bitterness and anger.
