I'm sure there will be depressurization accidents whether we use Hardsuits or not. There will be death in space and possibly at just as high a rate as death by accidental electrocution or decompression in commercial diving.

I think there is a place for soft suits (ACES), hard suits (AX-5) and hybrids (like the Mark III and I-Suit).
