Human rights are one of the few issues I am actually Liberal on. Back in the 1980’s I stood with the Liberals to protest the human rights violations in South Africa. But now, my Liberal Friends have deserted me on the human rights of other countries. Why, I do not know. Perhaps it depends on who is president.
And, for the record (Anyone can go back and see the HZ records) that from day one of the Iraq story, I supported ousting Saddam for his human rights violations. For me, that has always been the main reason.
