Knee-jerk?

I live in a fairly diverse community. It's still mostly white, but the University attracts a wide range of Human Beings from around the globe. I can encounter several different languages on a walk through the supermarket. We get along pretty well overall, this town is consistantly rated one of the happiest, smartest, healthiest, most active in the country.

My grandfather came to this country escaping the Soviets. His brothers were not as lucky. Still, he was not an anglo-saxon protestant. The other side is Irish, and for many long years they were held in the same contempt as other minorities. Our country is richer by far from the input of many different cultures. Rock and Roll came from an african beat, ultimately. The southwest was Spanish for a very long time, and that culture is woven into the fabric of this part of the world. Asians built the railroads and stayed to help build America. The cornish worked the mines, the Scandanavians cut the timber, the French created creole...

You don't like interacting with people of a different culture or race, and that's what it boils down to. I do. I learn from them, my fellow human beings.

But I'm not enhanced by my interactions with you.

Jerk.

You may have the final word 'cause that's my last.
