"Demonizing"

It would be "demonizing" if I had written the Hamas Covenant and then blamed it on them.

Ref: the Arab use of the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion."

The Saudi Initiative involves Israel returning to the 1967 borders, and then counting on the Palestinans and Hezbollah to stop attacking them.

As you can see, this worked quite well with the pullback from Lebanon and Gaza, the latter being part of the original Saudi plan.

The Palestinian people are currently being led by an organization whose sole reason for existing at all is the obliteration of Israel. No amount of "negotiation" is going to change that.

Negotiations between Arafat went on for years, through different Israeli prime ministers, liberal and conservative, and different U.S. presidents, liberal and conservative. The result was failure, and any reasonable person could see which variable all the combinations had in common.

Israel's best bet in my opinion is to reinforce its borders, keep building the walls, pull back settlements as best they can, and let the Palestinians keep killing each other until doomsday. And hope to God Iran doesn't get the bomb.
