The "war on the middle class" continues unabated.
Meanwhile, McDonalds is hiring. And there's the military if you're really hard up. It's all-volunteer now, and will be until poor folks can find other jobs.
Being a jailer is a booming profession in the US society. Will be an increasing need for them. Growth industry.
Any society which works to destroy it's middle class and has a huge prison population, with those folks shut out of any realistic chance at the "American Dream" is in for some rude and violent shocks and aftershocks.
Maybe that's why there are gated communities. Make 'em storm the ramparts after they've eaten their cake.
