The US's position as #1 economically is passing, I believe the Germans and China now export more than them now. China produces more cars than the US and Toyota is going to overtake General Motors as the world's largest car company.
Wall Street and the dollar have been overtaken by the Europeans and the Euro.
Some suspect that the Chinese GDP will top the US's by 2030.
The world changes.
I think the golden age the middle class in the US and the 'West' will fade into history.
