You should make it clear that people taking opiates and similar pain killers for REAL PAIN dont tend to get addicted... I have seen this demonstrated a few times. As for my own experience I had a broken arm (HARDLY ANYTHING COMPARED TO SOME) and I was given some pretty heavy duty pain killers- I took a few pills felt better, but high as a kite-Later, When it came time to move I found the expired drugs still in the bottle with maybe 5 of the 30 pills missing- I had just took them when I REALLY needed them... I made a point of not taking them during the day when I was at work with the laser, for safety reasons... and I didnt take them at night because they gave me horrible nightmares- so I only took a few on weekends... I threw the expired pills away.
