I do not read SDF or Lee anymore because they are intolerable to me. I find them unyielding and offensive. Life is unyielding and offensive, I do not need it here, also. I need The Zone to be a pleasurable experience.
With that being said, I ALWAYS read your posts. Your posts are too far and in between, but like a great dessert: sweet and satisfying (I appreciate how busy you are)

I had an event unfold yesterday that has incalcuable negative repercussions.
I was spiraling because I did not know how to proceed with damage control.
Your post has shown me how to begin.
The event was facillitated by my mothers' inability to keep her mouth closed.
Your superb rendering of raising your children, is almost a match to mine. I have very very few regrets with my children, and the relationship I have with them as adults is proof I did indeed do something right!

As I began to read , I realized this is the approach I need to take with my mother...plain and simple. My mother is not nor will she ever be the mother that I needed growing up. My mother is not nor will she ever be the wise old woman I need at this point in my life, either.
I need to treat my mother in the way I raised my children, because she is such a child on so many levels. I have felt cheated because of my mothers' inability to 'get it'...but it is what it is and as; I surrender to it; I can feel myself becoming a much stronger person .
