An intelligent person would run screaming from any news bit titled "Conventional Wisdom" ("...an informal distillation of the ever-changing thinking of Beltway pundits and the chattering classes.")
"Purgegate" is currently flopping wildly on the same beach where Plamegate lay gasping for many months (before somebody mercifully bashed it with a hammer.) There's no "there" there, other than maybe Gonzales' ham-handedness, and never was.
