That's funny, your UN socialist conspiracy did little to prevent companies and countries from pumping oil out of the continental shelves, or plundering the planet's fisheries, or ensuring rights-of-passage through narrow straits for warships. These are the profitable COMSAT businesses of the Deep Range. Perhaps the reason more ocean exploration hasn't happened is for the same reason it hasn't happened in space: private enterprise hasn't figured out a way to make a profit on it, at least not without massive government subsidies.
Do you people feel obliged to drag your political superstitions into every topic discussed on this board?
