Clearly the Bush Administration could not complain if these Americans are tortured to reveal US tactics, planned operations, weaknesses and strengths.

Cheney and Bush did not invent torture, but certainly lead the way in Iraq in it's practice. And have abandoned any moral high ground, have made Americans fair game.

One reason for the Geneva Convention is to ensure your people are treated fairly. I realize the GC doesn't strictly apply, and I realize that the Christian "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" does.

And that's sad. I hope the poor bastards come back soon, and I'm sorry they went over there in the first place. Their CinC is a real piece of work.
