re: Eating seasonally

Hi, M.A.

Our local farmers are VERY few and far between. However, I've found that buying more generic foods from our local grocery store does help in dollars and quality. Staples such as eggs, milk, butter and even orange juice tastes better when grown locally, so we've started on that route, freezing and storing when we can. That even includes chopping and freezing Red Peppers, they've quadrupled in price.

Seems that it won't be only during hurricane season that we'll be stocking up.

I LOVE Raspberies too! Wish us luck with our Lemon trees that I'll be starting from seeds. :)
