Mind you we were under a cold war while Reagan was president, but under Clinton there wasn't a ten year timeline to Mars either.
Thank GOD for JPL. We need to know exactly where humans can go and land AND safely bring them back.
Six months to Mars and six months back.
We should go back to the moon, I've been a believer of that since Apollo 17, but thought that there was HUMAN VALUE and political value in Skylab. There IS value in the ISS, we need to work together.
The past is history, let's move on shall we.
