Other people can do it seriously.
You can make some pretty educated speculations on what might have happened if we had not fought certain wars, or if the outcome had been different. You could also expand the concept beyond "declared wars the U.S. has fought in" if you want to discuss the course of history being altered by wars. This isn't the board for it, though.
