Hard for me to take either serious

They both have the experience but overall I tend to favor ex-Govenors over ex-congressmen for president.

Silly as it seems, I lost a lot of respect for Newt over that stupid novel he wrote.

I just don't think Newt can get elected. Highly qualified, Very intelligent but his candidacy would probably resemble Bob Dole's campaign. He would destroy AG in debates but we all know how that goes. Somewhere down the list of things required to win.

Sorry but Al Gore will always be a lightweight to me. I would take Hillary over AG.

At this point I see John McCain as the Republican's best shot. He has a history of opposing Bush and would get some votes for that alone. I think he would beat Gore like a rented mule.

Rudy can't win. Fred Thompson can't win. Anybody else out there?

For the Dems, Obama, Hillary, who else? I just don't think Gore can do it.

Clinton vs McCain would be a war imo, but the sad part is there are better people out there, on both sides, whose names we do not know.
