Guess what - space colonists will not be noble astronauts
I used to be bothered by that fact in my younger days, but I say
that's life now - literally.
Australia was first populated from Europe by criminals, but they
turned out okay.
Chicago was a minor port with a lot of shady characters when it
started out, and now it is a major city.
What is the point of exploration if we just do a data dump on Earth
and spend the rest of our time on this planet sifting through it. The
data is meant for something. And as we expand further into space,
going back to Earth will not only become less practical, it will eventually
become irrelevant as the deep explorers call their new worlds home.
