If we can wax philosophical about ourselves, the concept of self awareness/consciousness seems to be defined. Reality, on the other hand, is nothing but apparent.
What we are and how we perceive ourselves can be questioned to the Nth degree. Hence, we are because we think we are, but are we what we think we are?
