My point exactly! In order to even discuss the concept of self-awareness, we have to assume the concept exists in the first place.

No, I don't pretend to claim to know the answer to the most profound
philosophical question of all: the nature of the soul, I'm just making the point that the answer is probably not going to be the first thing that pops into our mind.
