My senses have evolved to interpret the physical universe around me. The matter that makes up my body is mostly empty space, yet I can interact with other matter because it is made of the same stuff I am.

So I am aware of my physical universe and I can study it through my senses. I, however, am limited to this physical universe because of this.

Or am I? I can speculate what lies beyond this universe. I can speculate other dimensions or universes made of different matter that follows different physical laws.

So I am not only self aware of my universe, I can speculate things that are beyond my senses- beyond my touch.
