You're engaged in some of the same vicious rhetoric, but at a mild level that suggests it may just be an unconscious reflex, when you say "Calling the republican's actions "fearmongering" implies you feel there is nothing to fear".
Oh I was conscious of it by golly. You should have seen the string of profanity that flowed from my fingers in response to your post. I deleted it because it would have made ed blush.
I suppose the Bushies used some fearmongering in '04 but that tactic was used to get us into the war in the first place. By the time of the election, it was pretty evident that there was nothing (not much) to fear....
By claiming we succumbed to "fearmongering", you're just not giving the American public enough credit. Most people can imagine that it's not a good idea to hand the stick off to the 'right-seater' mid loop.
I don't make excuses for Bush anymore, why don't you quit doing it for the voters in '04 ?
Fine.

- Here's a conservative which want's another 9-11. To unify the country. Behind Bush.
- re: Read it again... Notice at the end he notes that even another 9/11 wouldn't bring the country together for long.
- I don’t know any conservatives that want another 9/11.
