the saddest thing is that I haven't seen anything innovative coming from the heavy truck builders...
Fuel efficencies have actually been going down as they are forced to burn more deisel fuel to meet the stricter EPA requirements for emmissions.
Not only that, but the truck stacks are being designed to be hotter and hotter so that you now have a 1200iF stack on each side of the truck as it is pulling around tanks full of fuel to your local gas station (as well as all other types of cargo.
The big truck manufacturers need to push into diesel electric hybrids...And I haven't seen a whole lot of innovation out there (YET).
Unfortunately, it is a very slow process.
