I have no problem with "conquest" of inanimate objects.

Nobody gets cranky about somebody "conquering" a mountain by climbing it.

The sooner we move our heavy industrial processes, dangerous experiments, and power-hungry and heat-dumping activities off-planet, the better.

If we "modify" our DNA to become pacifistic, we'll eventually end up in glass cases in the museums of someone who didn't.
