Was 9/11 the result of bungling and incompetence by the government or an "inside job" orchestrated by Bush to take over the world?
Should the US proactively seek out terrorists plotting against us or should we return to the "shove the report in the out box" policy of previous administrations?
You can't have it both ways.
Either the US has to go after the bad guys with wiretaps and covert means or wake up to 9/11 or 12/25 perhaps 7/4 and a whole bunch of new dates that will live in infamy and cost thousands or millions of lives.
The guys we are dealing with are not sweethearts, they are all too often willing to kill children, women and innocents - even themselves - for their cause.
Sure, everyone feels bad if some folks have been abducted in error, but if you really were abducted, tortured and were freed - would you seek damages? Would you really try to aggravate the same folks who could surely get hold of you again? No, logic dictates here we have here someone who wants to get rich off of the equivalent of an unprovoked airport strip search and false imprisonment and who has surrounded himslef with folks who want to him as a tool against the war on terror.
And the Supreme Court, in their decision to dismiss it, apparently agreed.
