TB does make a valid point, the General's remarks were edited and only half (actually, more than half) were summarized in the report.
But the point is, evidence of the press's perfidy is embedded in a harangue against the Bush gang, and I believe the inclusion of all Sanchez's feelings gives the latter half of his comments even more impact. If I were the Time's propaganda minister, I would have included the entire speech in the report, it would have made it even more devastating, by emphasizing that this is no pinko liberal talking here.
I do note the Army Times report of the General's talk also left out his prefatory remarks. There have been other reports of that organization becoming more critical of the White House. Are we seeing a trend here?
I have also heard rumors that the Pentagon is now furious with the White House for it's mismangement of the war and the stress the military is under trying to meet it's increasingly unrealistic demands. Normally, their political meddling is limited to appropriations battles.
The propaganda score is at best a tie, but more realistically, a scathing indictment of the administration. That's why it's in Flame, to allow TB to mount a more vigorous defense.
