If nothing has meaning, there are two possibilities.
The word "meaning" means nothing.
Or the term meaning is misused.
Understanding meaning could be a description of life.
Or instead of understanding, one could instead say pursuing or feeling, or forgetting, perverting, other actions or other non-action "activities".
One could said that life is the sole "thing" which create meaning.
In other words, remove life from the Universe and there is nothing that is making meaning.
The human species is as valuable/important/significant/relevant as it creates meaning.
And to claim there is no meaning is to claim life doesn't exist- which some find *interesting* or meaningful, hence materialism.
To test the above. I would predict that it if robots create more meaning than humans, humans will eventually cease to exist. And *of course* in this case, being a robot will be considered to be living- and unless it's some sort con game or other scam- it will be from the "closest examination" indistinguishable from living {this btw, probably isn't an easy thing to do- and I don't know if human and robots they make, could do this. Ever. Oh, btw to make it easier one could set about a program to make human in general and in all cases less intelligent/discerning- but I would classify that as one kind of scam.}.
Of course it doesn't need to be robots- it could be alien intelligent life. Or alien intelligent robots- robots which were not merely kill bots.
And related to this, the problem with Islamofascists is other the cheap thrills of murdering and torturing and blowing things up, and running around doing various versions of slapstick comedy, they are fundamentally boring- perhaps, brain damaged.
