"Basically dead by 2009" under American leadership might well have been "long since ground to dust" if we'd simply had the wisdom to let Iraq be. It was Saddam's circus, and he had many of the people who became ISIS otherwise occupied.

You're trying to say it's all Obama's fault, as if the history of the Middle East began with his swearing in, as if the disastrous events of the five years prior would not carry consequences, and as if liberals were the only ones who were sick to death over a war that the US started against a country that had no hand in attacking us.

It's not at all convenient for conservatives, but the invasion of Iraq happened under W's watch. You can try to divorce effect from cause all you want, you can try to snip the vectors of history that go directly from ISIS back to the Bush White House, but I don't think you should expect to be successful.
