I wouldn't be surprised...
If one of the terrorists DID come through the refugee path... I just don't think that if one of the 100,00s of thousands is a terrorist that it somehow absolves us of our responsibility as human beings.
On a more practical note, anyone can see how denying the refugees a safe haven only worsens the problem down the road... it plays into the "West against Islam" narrative that those like ISIS want to sell...
But, sadly, that ship has already sailed... We will do the wrong thing for the wrong reasons and ignore the lessons of history....
And in a decade or so it will will be looked upon with shame... used as an example of how NOT to react...
