You say this isn't about electing the anointed Democrat, then follow it up with a huge pile of media attacks on Republican candidates on an issue that, frankly, isn't the most critical thing going on right now, but it is nicely within the Democratic "racism" comfort zone. Based on the past few months, it's apparently all they've got.
Of course this is political. Every last thing the Democrats say or do is about gaining and keeping domestic political power. And when the NYT said "frog," you jumped.
Then you posted a picture of a drowned boy, as if letting Syrian refugees into the U.S. without delay would make any difference to the two thousand people who have drowned trying to cross the Mediterranean.
