Lindy, please.

I've reread ER's posts a number of times and he's never once said that UFO's don't exist. He by no means is attacking you and others that firmly believe in the huge array of evidence you cite. From what I read, he's merely trying to explain the human nature that would cause you to be so adamant in your stance and possibly explain the compelling experiences you and others have had. I feel exactly as he does and will not bow to name calling or the possible loss of friendship to go against what I see as the truth.

I'm afraid your visceral defensive posture on this issue helps to bring on the very things you're seeing in his message. Just maybe it's that spark of logic and science inside you that is rebelling against the positions you're taking that you're angry at instead. In me that voice is loud and nagging and were I to have some life-changing experience that caused me to be at odds with that side, I'd be a bit conflicted too. That would not however give me the ethical right to attack anyone else that had doubts about my experiences if I did not possess true indisputable physical evidence of the encounter.

To dismiss the rest of us that haven't looked to the sky and seen obvious evidence of extra-terrestrial craft as not being open-minded is a very unreasonable act. The rules of science require non-belief Lindy and not the other way around. The burden is on you to bring about extraordinary evidence to support extraordinary claims as Sagan so eloquently remarked.

ER has been extremely respectful to you and you both share many other views of the world. I'd think it best to simply agree to disagree on this one.
