I couldn't disagree with your comments about RL, but I"ll forebear to fan the flames by agreeing too enthusiastically...think of RL's attacks as defining the boundary of civilized behavior. He's right on the knife's edge, sometimes in, sometimes out. For what it's worth, it won't get any worse than RL.
