There is no rule that says we can't change our ID parameters at any given time, and for whatever arbitrary cause we want. I used to post routinely under my real name, and had, obviously, no objection to others using it routinely, either.
For my own reasons, primarily adopting a lower search-engine profile, I changed my ID, and after that, I preferred that others not use my full name, especially in headers. I have no problem with being called "Tom" in the body of a message, or even having my full name pop up in there once in a while, but again, that's my own call, and nobody else's.
Arrell (I still use RL now and then, and hope that's okay) has made it clear that at this time, he doesn't want his real name used anywhere, and that should settle it. This isn't about someone accidentally using his first name in a post or something (it would be confusing anyway). This is about someone who certainly knows Arrell's preferences and deliberately flouts them just to needle someone.
Whether Arrell--or any of us for that matter--is a dick or not should have little to do with this.
Bowser, you were sweating blood a while back about Robert the Moderator, of all people, knowing your e-mail address. You're really not one to be cavalier about someone else's privacy preferences.
