"It WASN'T getting a blowjob from a female intern, a woman not his lawful wedded wife that was the problem. It wasn't his sexual activity away from the marital bed, in a manner regarded as sinful by fundamental Christians that was the issue."
As I said, it was a political problem. At the very least, it makes people wonder about the Commander in Chief's general judgment. And as someone ultimately responsible for ensuring the federal workplace policies in regard to sexual discrimination, it's politically problematic.
"It was that he committed perjury, was under oath and lied, that was the problem. Not about what, but THAT he lied."
Right. He could chosen early on to end the whole matter, by admitting he had indeed made mistakes and deeply regrets that this personal matter had become a public matter but at same time did want to disclose or confirm any further details in this regard.
And if it still got to grand jury, taken the 5th.
The problem was Clinton was unwilling to accept the political loss that he exposed himself to by his personal action, and he thought he could run over his opponents by using political means [something he was very successfully with in the past]. That obviously failed [failed solely because of hard evidence of the blue dress].
