Speaking "Republican" implies I speak "politician" first. Long practice aside, there's a limit to how far I can dumb down.
Besides, at this point, finding the answer is becoming "work."
I've observed politics since I was in college. In our system, the winner of elections tends to "take all." It's how the Congress set itself up and its rules, and that's how it is.
Maybe I don't have exact numbers on subpoenas, but Waxman's selective memory of how benign the Democrats were about dealing with an opposing president isn't how I remember the 80s. Or the early 70s for that matter.
