Can we get back to the endless caterwauling about drowning cities, dying civilizations, rapidly approaching doom, planetary ecodisaster, and the desperate need for immediate and drastic government action or we're all going to die?

I mean, it's not like any party we know is riding that particular apocalypse horse to political power, right?

I'm guessing that aspect of your lecture on fear and politics never even occurred to you.
