I don't think so. We may have some long-range fiscal issues, but the idea that [insert your most hated President or candidate here] is going to destroy the country doesn't stand up too well under historical examination. I've seen a lot of water under the bridge just in my lifetime, and people old enough to remember the Depression and WWII have an even broader perspective.
