But one of these days, when you're feeling better, let's talk again about common ground, what the hell's going on with the GOP, and maybe the prospect that it'll be better for it after this election's over.
I don't have much hope that the GOP will return to what it was when I signed up.
But that would be a continuance of the conversation we began a while back. One that I look forward too.
Curious thing, one of the local GOP Leaders and I were talking about this very thing a few days back. He's been in since, well forever, he asked me why I changed to independent. I told him.
After a long pause, and quick look to see if anyone could hear him. "Yeah, I know, we lost a lot of y'all over the last few years for the same reason. Can't say as I blame you too much, ain't like it used to be.."
