And, it turns out that some stuff won't run on a 64-bit system. So I tested mine at 32-bit.

I downloaded a demo version of Flight Simulator. Then I ran the settings up as far as they'd go - scenery, airplane, weather, all of it.

Then I ran the demo. Full screen, on a 24", WUXGA (1920 x 1200) monitor.

Ran flawlessly, no flicker, almost like being there. Couldn't ask for much, if anything, more. Don't know what it would be.

So, the hell with it. I'm gonna put my important disks in a cardboard box in the bookcase and forget them. I'd lose the key to a lockbox.

But it's a great idea for a normal person.
