You posted it on flame because you expected an ideological rant. Your post brings up the political divide and opens up such for discussion. I obliged.
To call me a fascist is facetious, you yourself know that I'm liberal on most social issues and far to the left of every stereotypical evil rightie you or Bob could conjur up.
That's what makes my views so annoying to the left as well. I carry walking papers for both parties to some degree.
The system works. Luck has very little to do with it. If you develop enough skills to be employable, have a halfways presentable appearance and passable social skills - you will prosper under capitalism more than any other system.
The better your skills, appearance or social skills...the further you will go. Luck factors into some parts of the equation, but by that point one is already living nicer than most socialists, communists and all those who live in the Marxist societies.
And for those socialist-capitalist states in Europe and elsewhere, they too do not follow the Marxist ideosophies in economic practice, merely social services & lipservice.
Conservatives can disagree and they do. I'm as welcome to the religious right as Hillary is. And for what it's worth, I have little use for the religious right of the conservative party. They make an easy target, a quick stereotype and help drive free-thinking young folks towards the cliffs of Marxism and socialism. They have done this for the past seventy years. The religious right has always been the poster child for "intolerant compassion" - which always sums up religion pretty well.
But tolerance is a two way street. And the left is equally intolerant and has little compassion for those who don't embrace their chosen "religion".
And don't mistake my honesty with exploitation. I care not a whit about converting anyone to capitalism or conservatism. I don't see posts as tools to club others over the head. I know your convictions and if after my many posts, if someone here hasn't changed their views by now - it aint gonna happen.
I call it as I see it. I have some old friends who work in Hollyweird and they are further left than Bowser or Robert. Their environment and the "pack liberal" mentality is all pervasive in that workplace - chain smoking, binge drinking, recreational drugs and liberalism - a package deal. To survive in such you conform and submit to all the liberal mantras, large and small. Every conversation they ever have on politics and social policy is from far left of center. They reinforce their belief systems constantly and emulate those higher up on the pecking order who hold the same sacrosanct liberal viewpoints.
Here, no one has doubt as to what I think as pertaining to all sorts of things. If my honest opinion seems like "exploitation" well that's the way it goes. You still seem to be mistaking me for someone who feels by putting others down, I lift myself up. That's not my game. I truly wish the best for folks (even Marxist liberals) and I know that if I hurt others feelings or abuse my position - I will get such abuse and harm in return - in spades.
Everyone has come to their view by their own experiences and position. It is valid to them. In an infinite universe no two people can share the exact same viewpoint. I also know that my views will be harmful to as many, and to such degree as they are helpful - such is the nature of life.
