If you want an american made roadster that is not a corvette- Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky.

I test drove a Solstice GXP- the one with the beefed up Turbo. Ahhhh... What joy.

But then I couldn't see out tha damn thing with the top up (like, seriously- I couldn't even see the road signs and stop lights). There was enough wasted space that they could have ad a very well engineered cargo compartment but instead had something that collected whatever leaft or detritus was on your ragtop when you stowed it. And no automatic opener on the ragtop? And I got some big damn shoulders and the sides of the (virtually unadjustable) bucket seat actually pushed into my joint capsule

But the thing drove like it was on the proverbial rails... The road feel was fantastic (but punishing) and had the best 'shift feel' outside of a mid-80s BMW motorcycles- Nice easy slide then an affirmative SNICK!

So I didn't get it. Wanted to, but would have been hell to drive daily.
