re: Please explain true morality and honesty.

Mysterious Stranger is Twain's Magnum Opus as was Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

Here's Twain's Stranger. Rand's Shrugged is more of an ambitious undertaking, but just as well rewarding. If you want to understand Tom's oft-repeated "point of a gun" references about government intrusion read this book. I wish everyone would read it, but I can't expect such. After all, who is John Galt?

For newbies to Rand I would recommend Anthem, which is short and sweet by comparison. It's not as persuasive and educational about our current governmental politicians an society as Shrugged though.

Twain compilations abound. I have the complete set of his works, including a few first editions both in book form and as they first appeared in periodicals. For the novice to Twain a compilation of short stories by Neider is a good place to begin.

Twain & Rand seem like a bizarre coupling - only until one knows them both intimately. Then one sees that they were coming at the same philosophy of life at different angles.
