And careful with that word "believer"
Socrates II — (archived)

People ask me if I believe in UFOs and aliens, and I tell them I do
not worship them, therefore I do not "believe" in them.

I think alien life does exist based on the current evidence, but we
do not have PROOF of their existence, so the jury is still out. Earth
could have the only life in the Universe or at least the Milky Way
galaxy, that is certainly possible. However, I think it unlikely given
the odds that we are alone in space. But guess what - we don't
have sufficient evidence yet, not from a signal, an artifact, or even
an alien microbe (the Mars meteorite jury is still out, 12 years later -
that is how careful science is being), so until I hear and see
otherwise, alien life has yet to be a fact.

As for UFOs, there are indeed many objects flying around in our
skies which are unidentified, but that does not make them alien
spaceships or interdimensional craft or time machines from our
future so long as all we have to go on are STORIES and not
solid evidence.

For those who follow science and the scientific method, what I
have said above makes sense. For those who don't and who
want to do what Fox Mulder's poster in his office declares, nothing
said or done otherwise will matter.
